Time To Revise

"It's never too late - in fiction or in life - to revise." - Nancy Thayer, writer

How many times have you thought to yourself that it was too late to pursue a goal or achieve a dream? Is it really too late or are you using this as an excuse? Maybe it is time to review some of your goals and dreams to determine if it is, truly, too late to go for it all!

Let's be realistic - some goals may be out of reach. If you always wanted to be a ballerina and you are now in your 40's or 50's, there is a chance that this dream will not happen. However, most goals and dreams are achievable at any age. If you have always wanted to be a doctor, go back to school. It really doesn't matter where you begin. It matters more than you make that beginning. Get your GED, get a college degree, or jump right into applying to graduate school. On your journey, you will learn what you like to do and what you don't like to do. That is when you can make choices as to where you go next. Nothing is ever written "in stone". We are given the gift of choice and that is where "revise" comes into the picture. If we can follow our intuition, we may end up doing something we love and it all starts by taking action.

Not every dream and goal is achievable, but you would be amazed at how much can be done if you keep putting one foot in front of the other. You may find out early into the journey that you aren't drawn to a particular goal after all. That is okay - pick another one! That's all it takes. Start today. And have fun while you're doing it!

Today I will continue to revise my life as I become aware of my likes and my dislikes. I am so grateful for this gift of choice and revision. This is such a blessing - may I never take it for granted.
