"Maturity includes the recognition that no one is going to see anything in us that we don't see in ourselves. Stop waiting for a producer. Produce yourself." - Marianne Williamson, author, lecturer, and founder of The Peace Alliance
That facts are in - we need to see the good within us if anyone else is going to be able to see it. We can spend our lives waiting for that "magical" moment to happen. We can wait for someone will come along and sweep us off our feet and into the perfect life and lifestyle. Or, we can accept our reality, set our goals, and take action to achieve them, one by one.
The joy that comes from achieving even one goal is amazing. We become aware of our own abilities and, if we are in action mode, we begin to pick up speed and momentum. We then set additional goals, achieve them, and find we are able to move forward even more. Maturity can be a scary word to some, but when we accept that it does include the recognition mentioned in the above quote, it gives us something to focus on.
The truth of the matter is that we do not have to wait for that "producer" to come along. We can handle our productions today, one day at a time, one goal at a time. We are capable of so many things. Life is truly a blessing.
Today I will be in charge of the production of my life, with my Higher Power leading me all the way. Others will see what is in me and I will make myself available to help anyone in need at any time. I feel blessed to live the life I am living today and I am truly grateful.
