WE HAVE THE STRENGTH

"There is no support so strong as the strength that enables one to stand alone." - Ellen Glasgow, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist

In order to stand on our own we need to be willing to let go and trust that all will be well. That may be easier said than done. Standing alone, taking care of responsibilities, and owning what is ours to own can empower us to stand alone and maybe even help others along the way. But where does the support come from that enables us to stand alone?

The support and strength is already within us. We have all that we need to live in joy and happiness, yet, we sometimes forget to get quiet and listen to our inner voice for proper guidance and perspective. This takes practice. We do not expect to get all of our answers right away. Some things will take time and, if we respect that there is a timetable involved, we will be amazed at the way life works out for us. Projects go smoothly, obstacles become opportunities to grow, and everything falls into place at the appropriate moment.

We can always get support from those who love us the most. Their support and encouragement help us tap into our inner strength when we are facing difficulties. We are fully equipped with the strength we need. Each day brings us a new opportunity to stand up for ourselves, do what is right, and move that much closer to achieving all that we would like to achieve. Life is a blessing, even when things are not going our way. The benefits always reveal themselves to us.

Today I will remember that I have the strength to stand alone and do my part in making this world a better place. I will accept the support I receive and I will remember that I am never completely alone. I am grateful for this life I live today. - K Kerswig, CPC, CRC
