"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature, and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature." - Anne Frank, Jewish diarist during World War II
When we observe nature, we can see how all things flow without interference. The birds fly naturally, the animals interact with each other as their instincts dictate, and the rain, along with the sunshine, comes and goes. There is such beauty to be seen when we observe nature taking its course. The trick is to take the time to sit and observe.
Everything is as it should be, right here, right now. We are experiencing life in a way that will bring us the lessons we need to learn. Each person is different and so the lessons come to us in many different ways. Some of us need to repeat the lessons over and over again until we finally grasp the concept being presented to us. Some of us are never willing to learn certain lessons that appear to be too difficult to handle. But when we go outside and we are alone with nature and our Higher Power, we give ourselves the opportunity to be quiet, to be still, and to listen to our inner voice. That is when miracles can happen. That is when answers can come to us. That is when we grow spiritually and emotionally. It is worth the effort!
Today I will be quiet and spend time outside, alone with the heavens, nature, and God. I will remain open to the answers that come to me. I am grateful.
