What do you think about this following quote from Charles Fillmore, founder of Unity church:
"I fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm and spring forth with a mighty faith to do those things that ought to be done by me!"
Charles Fillmore was 94 years old when he said this. Does it make you think about what kind of man he must have been? Imagine being in your nineties and being this motivated to go about your day and do what is yours to do!
I attend Unity of Fort Myers and this quote from Charles Fillmore was the basis of today's lesson. We were asked if we had ever used the phrase "I fairly sizzle" and I must admit that those words have never come out of my mouth before - EVER! They will now though. This quote makes me think about my responsibility and obligation to do those very things that should be done by me. I have a purpose in life and I want to fulfill that purpose.
Imagine what it would be like to wake up with this kind of enthusiasm every day. Imagine what you could get accomplished by allowing your zeal to "spark" your fire within. This was Pastor Jim Rosemergy's message today at Unity of Fort Myers. Our own zeal is our spark and our spark lights a fire within us to accomplish magnificent feats. It keeps us moving forward. How amazing is that???
It have learned over the years that when I hear such a powerful message, I need to pay close attention to the message itself and then apply it directly to my life. I have felt a powerful enthusiasm for life in these last few years and it continues to get stronger as time goes by. Now I know why! I sizzle with my own zeal and enthusiasm which I believe is a gift from the God of my own understanding. This is a wonderful gift and I will treasure it always.
Today I will spring forth in faith to do all of those things that are mine to do. I will treasure these precious moments and I will seek to help others whenever possible. I am truly grateful to have the gift of zeal in my life. Thank You God! - K Kerswig, Blue Skies Life Coaching
