No Demands, Only Love

"He who demands little gets it." - Ellen Glasgow, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist

Demanding does not always get us what we want. Demanding, in fact, can be such a turn-off that we get less than we would have gotten under normal circumstances. The phrase about catching more flies with honey comes to mind.

The law of attraction is an interesting concept and works for many people these days. As we give, so we receive. The more we give to others and put their needs before ours, the more we end up receiving. It may come to us in different ways, but the love, kindness, and compassion we show to others ends up coming back to us over and over again.

Some believe it is necessary to be demanding in life in order to get the best results. Demands are not really necessary in the grand scheme of things. Giving all that is good in order to receive more good sounds like a sound principle. Give it a try and see what happens. Do not look for rewards but be aware of the good energy that begins to surround you as you give off good energy. It will work!

Today I am letting go of my need to demand and I am embracing my need to show love to all those I meet in my travels. I am grateful.
