Our Country

"I'm a first generation American. I was taught by my mother, who was an immigrant, to be very grateful to this country. It is no different than when you have a dysfunctional family - it can be very dysfunctional - but it is still your family...and America is still ours. I think we can waste a lot of time throwing it down the drain and not knowing the amazing things about this country." - Zoe Saldana, actor

America is still our country. It is so important to acknowledge the good things about the United States. It is imperative that we renew our love and commitment to making our country the best it can be. Negativity, criticism, gossip, and ridicule will not get us the results we want. It is time to work together as a team, a very large team, and focus on doing the next right thing in order to bring about the harmony that we and our country deserve to have.

Let's appreciate what we have and work together to fix the problems that keep our country from being the best it can be. We are all facing these challenges so we might as well combine our efforts to achieve positive results. Are you willing to make your best effort?

Today I will show my appreciation for my country and I will do my best to find ways to make improvements all around me. I am grateful to be an American.
