We Can Take The Highroad...Together

"Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction." - Margaret Thatcher, the first woman in European history to be elected prime minister

Discipline may not be one of our favorite words but it is an important part of having a successful life. It is important to have the discipline to honor our responsibilities and to follow through on our commitments. Of course, sometimes it would be nice to be able to take the easier path and not have to do the right thing all of the time, but ultimately that choice to take the easy way out usually leads to more consequences and then life ends up getting harder instead of easier.

Holding ourselves to the highest of standards leads to a fulfilling life that brings us great joys and rewards. Personal satisfaction comes from helping others, never cheating, and giving our best effort in all that we say and do. The way to do this is to help each other make the right choices. If we are accountable to each other then we are apt to make the right choice more often than not. If we work together in doing what we know to be right and important, we will see the world change before our eyes in a very good way. Let us give it a try and see what happens. We may be surprised at just how great life will get. Let us join together in this mutual effort. We deserve happiness and great results.

Today I will work with others to make the right decisions in all that I do. I will do what is right for the highest good of all involved. I am truly grateful.
