I was always looking for other people to make me feel better about myself. Every friendship, every relationship - all I was looking for was validation. I didn't know how important it was going to be for me to believe in myself.

Validation doesn't come to me through other people. I don't need superficial validation to recognize that I am a good person. I know that I'm a precious child of God and that's a gift. I can keep my focus on helping others and leave the judgment up to the God of my understanding.

If I live life in this manner, then a relationship clearly is the "cherry on the top of the cake". I don't feel like I'm surviving in this life anymore - I'm living and loving every minute of it. Thank you God!
