"The Good Is On The Inside"

"And finally I twist my heart round again, so that the bad is on the outside and the good is on the inside, and keep on trying to find a way of becoming what I would so like to be." - Anne Frank, Jewish diarist during World War II

Anne Frank had such a beautiful spirit. I'm in awe of her thoughts expressed in the quotes posted from time to time. She was such an inspiration at such a young age - just incredibly wise.

I've practiced turning my heart around many times and I can share with you that some of my attempts have been more successful than others. I always strive to get the good on the inside now. I believe that I am truly becoming what I would like to be. Ms. Frank was in a life-threatening situation and she did not get the chance to reach her full potential and yet, look at how much she was able to share with the world. I have had the opportunity to work on this for awhile and the gifts just keep on giving as I strive to do what is right, no matter what is going on around me. My choices and my behavior are no longer contingent upon how others are acting around me. This makes my life and my choices much simpler.

There is a deep love within us all, just waiting to be released towards everyone we meet. Today I pray that I will acknowledge this fact and treat all with love and respect, that I might receive their love and respect in return. I am grateful for this opportunity. Namaste.
