This is beautiful. St. Patrick's Day was always a day to acknowledge my Irish heritage and to wear a green shirt but that's about it! It never occurred to me that winter dreams turning into summer magic could be a part of the celebration.
Now I have to admit I'm very happy that the clocks were turned ahead this past weekend. I realize I'm one of only a few of my friends who looks forward to the time change in the spring each year. I'm happy to sacrifice one hour of sleep in order to have the extra daylight in the evenings. I think that's what reminds me most of summer fast approaching - more so than St. Patrick's Day anyway. However, after reading this lovely quote, I think it's a wonderful reminder that winter is nearing an end and that the summer will be here before you know it. Thank you Adrienne Cook - I will now always think of St. Patrick's Day in an enchanted way!
