"We can't become what we need to be by remaining what we are." - Oprah Winfrey, TV personality and actor
I sometimes find myself wondering what it is I need to be - mother, daughter, sister, friend, boss, etc. The list could go on and on. I tend to feel the pressure to be all things to all people. That hasn't worked out for me in the past. It's too challenging and it has been quite a struggle until recently.
This quote is spot on - change is the only constant in life. I will not experience all that life has to offer if I hide out trying to keep things from changing. My belief is that God wants us to reach our highest potential. Here's my idea of what I need to be: I choose to be open and willing to help others at all times so that God can use me wherever and whenever the need arises. I used to be a hopeless person who just got through the days by existing instead of living. I'm filled with hope, joy, and gratitude today because I've become willing to change and grow every day of my life.
It's a comforting feeling to know exactly what I need to be today. Thank you God!
