Duty And Rights

"We need to restore the full meaning of that old word, duty. It is the other side of rights." - Pearl S. Buck, educator, Novel Prize-winning novelist, and humanitarian

Duty is a moral or legal obligation that arises from one's position. When I think of duty I think of the men and women in our armed forces. Their duty is to serve and protect all of us and that is what they do every day, many times in extremely dangerous situations.

Since today is the 4th of July, I just wanted to post a "thank you" here to everyone who serves to keep me and all of us here safe and protected. There are many things that could be done better and nothing is perfect, but the freedom we have that allows us to pursue our dreams, our goals, and our joy is always there because of the services of our military. From the bottom of my heart, I just want to say thank you. May God keep you safe and protected always. Amen.
