When In Doubt, Leap!

"When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So what the hell, leap." - Cynthia Heimel, writer

This is great advice for everyone. I tend to hesitate before acting if I think that I might look foolish. I tend to concern myself too much with what other people think of me. But there is truth in this description of that thin line between being creative and being "not so smart". (I've never cared for the word "idiot" so I'm not going to use it here.) You get my point; it's a very thin line.

Taking a leap of faith is something I can do now. I can pray and meditate regarding a situation and then trust that God is going to lead me through the action steps. That's been my experience in many situations. I never knew that a person could do this until some good friends shared their approaches with me. The showed me that their faith in a Higher Power got them through some very challenging times. I figured if they could do it, then so could I. I have been taking leaps of faith every since.

For me, I'm not about making a fool of myself but I am about living life and not living in isolation anymore. So I will trust God and follow the guidance that comes to me after I sincerely pray and meditate each day. Thank you God for listening. May we all learn to take more leaps of faith whenever possible.
