Expressing Ourselves

"Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression." - Margaret Sanger, women's rights activist

Challenging one's self is important in order to grow spiritually, emotionally, and/or intellectually. I've come to believe that it's crucial for me to allow myself the freedom to express myself. It's up to me and only me. If I choose to ignore what is within me, I will miss out on the growth that comes from self-awareness.

After I read this quote, my first reaction was my usual reaction - this pertains to everyone, not just women. I don't know why that always jumps out at me, but it does, so that's what I want to share here. I've come to find out that listening to my inner voice for guidance helps me express myself and I believe that's a great tool for everyone to use. I've learned to trust my intuition and follow the guidance as it comes. This works for me and it gives me piece of mind to know I can trust that today.

So, let's all challenge ourselves, men and women alike, to allow ourselves to express outwardly who we are on the inside. Let's do that, shall we? Namaste.
