Coming From Or Going Toward???

Is God far away, up in the sky, or is God within us, waiting to express Himself through us in our daily lives? There are many different concepts of God; some believe there is no God at all; some are confused and do not know one way or the other. What do you believe?

There are so many people who had bad experiences as children when they attended specific denominational churches. The rituals did not always comfort folks when they were growing up so, as they grew into adulthood, they found themselves turning away from religion altogether. There are some people who have figured out that the Higher Power they connect with does not necessarily need to be the vengeful or angry God they learned about as children. They have chosen to create a relationship with a power greater than themselves that actually helps them to get through life on a daily basis.

Here is something for you to consider - make a list of everything you would like your Higher Power to be. It can be loving, caring, and empathetic. It can be dependable, comforting, and consistent. Whatever you choose is up to you. This is just a suggestion. Think about the possibilities. If you connect with a power greater than yourself and that power is always with you, inside of you, guiding you along the way, imagine what great things can happen. It is worth considering.
