"Courage looks you straight in the eye. She is not impressed with power trippers, and she knows first aid. Courage is not afraid to weep, and she is not afraid to pray, even when she is not sure who she is praying to. When she walks, it is clear she has made the journey from loneliness to solitude. The people who told me she was stern were not lying; they just forgot to mention she was kind." - J. Ruth Gendler, author, artist, and teacher
Are you courageous? You probably have more courage than you even realize. Most of us face significant challenges and obstacles throughout our lives and somehow, some way, we make it through. It is not easy to face the difficulties that life can throw our way, but if we move forward with the courage we all have inside us, we will see that we can find positive solutions to every issue we face head on.
Even when we are moving forward with courage, we may still feel the fear within. The trick is for us to keep taking action anyway. It is easier if we have a faith in a power greater than ourselves because we can turn to that power and lean on that power when we feel weak or confused. Courage is extremely valuable and everyone has a supply of it within themselves. All we need to do is tap into it and we will conquer the challenges that are ours to face.
Today I will ask the God of my understanding for the courage I need today. I am grateful.
