Take Possession Of Your Future

"Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future." - Coco Chanel, fashion designer and businesswoman

Have you taken possession of your future? What does that look like and how does it feel to do so? Well, it is probably different for everyone, but it is always exhilarating. To act in a way that is elegant and classy shows a certain level of learning about experiencing life on life's terms. Achieving a level of elegance in our lives is a goal that many set for themselves. Some are even fortunate enough to achieve it.

Escaping adolescence is another challenge for us in life. There are so many changes going on as we grow through our teenage years that is difficult to remain level-headed. Life is very exciting and challenging all at the same time so adolescence can send us into a spiral or it can send us up, up, and away! We tend to approach life differently because we are all shown different ways to handle situations. Some of us are taught to fight for what we want; some are taught to sit back and wait for rewards to come to us; some people learn to remain true to themselves and allow their inner spirit to guide them to their greatest achievements.

No matter how we survived adolescence, whether we sought to find elegance or not, the truth remains that we can all benefit from taking possession of our own futures. It is not necessary to worry about the future of anyone else but ourselves. It is the most rewarding path to pursue.

Today I will remind myself that I have taken possession of my personal future and I am forever grateful!
