Performance Outweighs Promises

"An ounce of performance is worth pounds of promises." - Mae West, actor, dancer, writer, producer, and director

It has been said that actions speak much louder than words. This means that we will be judged more by our actions than by mere words. Many people are famous for talking a good talk but when it comes to getting results, they are suddenly missing in action.

Are you a talker or a do you walk your talk? We have all met those people before. You know the ones - those that love to talk loud and clear about themselves and their specific instructions on how we should all be living our lives. Yet if we observe their behaviors, we sometimes get a big surprise. We sometimes see that those who talk the loudest are the ones who do little to lead by example.

Leading by example is the way to creating positive change in the world. If we all did our best to lead by example, and if we all followed the examples of those doing their best to help others, just imagine what kind of results we would see. Performance rather than promises, actions rather than words - this could be the solution to many of our world's problems. Let's try it, shall we?

Today I will walk the walk and lead by example. I will seek out those who do the same. Together we will help others as much as possible. I am grateful.
