"Women are always being tested...but ultimately, each of us has to define who we are individually and then do the very best job we can to grow into it." - Hillary Rodham Clinton, Secretary of State, former US senator and first lady (1993 - 2001)
I think that life is just one big test - for men, women, children, - for everyone! There are many challenges along the way and how we react to each one determines how we experience this gift of life that we've been given.
I'm on a quest to define who I am now. I didn't know who I was for the longest time. I used to spend my days and nights trying to be everything to everyone. I was so wrapped up in pleasing others that I never really took the opportunity to find out about me - my likes and dislikes, what makes me tick, and what's most important to me. I've learned (the hard way) that I can't be all things to all people. I am doing "the very best job" I can do to be the best "Kathleen" that I can be. I treat others with kindness, I listen to them with interest, and I follow through on my commitments today.
I believe this is how my Higher Power wants me to live my life today. You see, my relationship with God is my only priority now. My life revolves around improving my God-consciousness each and every day. As I work on that, my life experiences are filled with joy, love, hope, and prosperity. My life is overflowing with blessings. Even the challenges are blessings to me because I'm learning that the rewards from these very challenges are grander than I could ever imagine.
So, all in all, this quote reminds me that I'm on the right path. I'm learning about me (therefore defining myself) and I'm doing the very best job I can do, one day at a time. I know I'm joined by many others who are striving to do the same thing. Let's lead together by example.
Today I will the very best job I can to grow into my definition of self. I will keep moving forward, knowing that I have all of the inner strength I need to have a fulfilling journey. I am grateful. - K Kerswig, Blue Skies Life Coaching
