Modesty And Virtue

"I do not believe that modesty and virtue are more becoming to women than to men, but wish we had more of it everywhere." - Belva Lockwood, lawyer and reformer

There isn't much I can add to this statement.  Modesty and virtue are important where all people are concerned.  I wonder what kind of world it would be if there was more of it everywhere.  I'll bet it could be amazing.

I pray that all of us on this planet can come together for one common goal - love one another.  Love is the answer to everything.  That's what I've been taught.  I believe that's why we're all here.  May God's infinite love flow through all of us and that our modesty and virtue are the traits that people notice in us every day.

(There are times throughout the year when the quotes from this calendar reference women specifically.  Obviously, when there is a collection of quotes by famous women, there are going to be quotes specific to our gender.  I tend to look at the quotes from a general viewpoint rather than just from a woman's point of view.  We all have good in us and I believe that God wants the same for all of us - men and women, boys and girls, young children and older folks too.  That's just my perspective.)

Today I will remember that modesty and virtue are becoming on everyone. I know that I am helped in many ways to achieve my goals. I am grateful for everyone who helps me each and every day to become the person I was meant to become. - K Kerswig, Blue Skies Life Coaching
