"Just imagine how boring life would be if we were all the same. My idea of a perfect world is one in which we really appreciate each other's differences: short, tall; Democrat, Republican; black, white; gay, straight - a world in which all of us are equal, but definitely not the same." - Barbra Streisand, award-winning entertainer and activist
Now this sounds like an excellent plan to me. I would love to be a part of this kind of world. It could happen - one person at a time.
I have a friend who talks about the universe responding to our thoughts and this allows us to co-create our lives with the God of our understanding. In fact, her book is called Universe Responding and it has helped me focus more on my thinking. I'm learning just how powerful my thoughts can be. So it's important to keep my thinking on the positive side as much as possible. This brings me the best results.
Since I know this works for me, I believe it can happen for our world, just as described in the above quote. It starts with our imaginations and as we start to believe it our actions take over and we live it. Today I pray that we learn to appreciate each other more and more every day.
