"The beaten track does not lead to new pastures." - Indira Ghandi, prime minister of India (1966 - 1977 and 1980 - 1984)
These are such words of wisdom. I lived my life walking down the beaten path over and over again, expecting to end up someplace else. Instead, I always wound up in the same pitiful place I had started from. It never worked for me.
I've learned to remain open now and I am walking new paths every day! I have some wonderful people in my life who taught me that my way just wasn't working. They taught me how to look at life differently and handle its challenges with a little bit of grace and dignity. This is a great way to live. I sometimes fall back to my old way of thinking but, for the most part, I'm enjoying the new "pastures" I get to experience each day. It's working for me so I think I'd better keep doing what I'm doing. :)
