"Creativity comes from trust. Trust your instincts. And never hope more than you work." - Rita Mae Brown, writer and educator
I'm learning to trust my instincts. The more I trust, the more I create. It's gotten easier for me as I continue to practice trusting in my instincts. For me, it's the last sentence in this quote that speaks to me. Taking action must follow the hope or else nothing will ever happen.
Nowadays, I'm always encouraged by quotes about creativity. As a young child and as a younger adult, I never considered myself creative in any way. I talked myself into believing that I would NEVER create anything. I actually had no doubt in my mind that my creativity was non-existent.
I've come to realize, thanks to many wonderful friends who have showered me with encouragement, that I do have some creativity within. I'm writing this blog and I'm enjoying the process immensely. I've also been blessed to write vision statements for some of my life-coaching clients. It's been so rewarding to create something that is uplifting for them and encouraging as well. These are people I truly care about so when I can give to them, it's a blessing for me.
I know that I'm working hard but it's what I want to be doing so it doesn't feel like work. So, I will trust my instincts, create to my heart's content, and always take the action necessary. The Universe can take care of the results.
