"The good is the greatest rival of the best." - Nellie L. McClung, suffragist, social reformer, legislator, and author
I've struggled at times with differentiating between good, better, and best, at least when it comes to my life. I tend to want instant gratification so I will sometimes reach for the "quickest" solution rather than the best.
I have come to realize that it's in my best interest to take the time needed to reflect where "best" is concerned. I ask my Higher Power for guidance, take the necessary action, and then patiently wait for the results. As I've practiced this, I've gotten better at the waiting part. It seems to be well worth the effort.
The reminder is that I must continue to practice listening for guidance, even if it means allowing the best to come in time. I'm getting better at it - progress not perfection - that's my motto!
