"Above all, don't fear difficult moments. The best comes from them." - Rita Levi Montalcini, Nobel Prize-winning scientist
I grew up fearing everything. I was afraid of failure and of success. I was afraid of being alone and I was afraid of being in a relationship. I didn't want to feel the hurt that inevitably comes in life sometimes. I did everything I could to avoid it, but I wasn't able to avoid the pain that sometimes comes from those difficult moments.
Now, here's the thing - the difficult moments have brought me more blessings than I can count. I've gotten to know myself better and I've been able to become the woman I've always wanted to be. I went through one of the most difficult challenges of my life in 2009 and I've come out stronger than ever before. I was able to do that because of the awesome people in my life who loved me until I could love myself again. I will forever be indebted to them.
Today I choose to face the difficult moments without fear. I trust that the best does come from them.
