Said Or Done

"In politics, when you want something said, ask a man; when you want something done, ask a woman." - Margaret Thatcher, the first woman in European history to be elected prime minister

I've heard this thought before, but I never realized that the quote is attributed to Margaret Thatcher. I can't help but smile as I visualize her saying this. I'm guessing she was making a statement about her abilities in the world of politics; I just notice that I feel admiration for those who have such a strong sense of self-worth.

I've struggled with my own self-worth for most of my life. It's only recently that I've come to realize I am enough. I have developed more faith in God in recent years and I've been able to accept myself just as I am more than ever before. I believe that God loves me just as I am. There is always room for improvement most definitely. I am far from perfect. But acceptance of self has allowed me to live life in a happier fashion, and for this, I will always be grateful.
