Change Your Life

"You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process, is its own reward." - Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic Ocean

The process has certainly turned out to be its own reward for me. I didn't know life could bring me such happiness just by making good choices and taking appropriate action. I've become a writer because I decided to write. Of course, I had to take action and  start writing or else the decision would have meant nothing. I decided and then I acted - it is as simple as that.

The important lesson here is this: I cannot just make a decision and expect results. I must take action in order to make things happen. No matter what my decisions are, I must be willing to do the footwork necessary following any decision I make. Otherwise, nothing will ever actually happen. If my actions don't bring about the change I am looking for, I can change course and adapt to any new decisions I make. The beauty is in the process. At least that's been my experience.

Today I will make good decisions and take the appropriate actions. Today I am grateful to have the ability to make decisions and take actions to improve my life. Life is good.
