It is not always easy for me to do what is right without telling someone about the "good deed" I've done. I seem to have an ego problem at times and I have realized that I like to be commended for choosing to act responsibly.
It seems a little crazy to me that I have an ego problem. I have always thought of myself as humble. Yet, if I'm honest, I usually look for people to pat me on the back after I tell them what I did to help someone or how I succeeded at work. I have to admit I am not proud of this.
The lesson for me here is to continue to do the right thing without bragging and without talking about my actions so much. Today I will strive for real integrity.
