"How we remember, what we remember, and why we remember form the most personal map of our individuality." - Christina Baldwin, teacher, writer, and speaker
I'm amazed at what has been happening for me lately. I've been reflecting back on my life more and remembering things that I haven't thought about in many years. It's been enlightening to say the least.
I believe I've been blessed with more insight these days because I've been meditating on a regular basis this past year. More is being revealed to me as I practice getting quiet on a more regular basis. At first, I didn't think I could meditate because I never was very good at sitting still and being quiet. I'm the type of person who likes to read a book, watch TV, and Facebook all at the same time! But, with practice, I began to get better at sitting for longer periods of time, quietly breathing, waiting for answers to come from Spirit within.
It works; it really works! I'm not sure I understand how or why, but that's not important. Remembering and getting inspired is what's really important. My personal map of individuality is made up of the how, what, and why of my memories and it is created by getting quiet, concentrating on my breathing, and trusting the process. I am so grateful that I didn't give up on meditating. It is one of the greatest gifts I have ever stumbled upon. I love the way life works!
