"True prayer is not asking God for love; it is learning to love, and to include all mankind in one affection." - Mary Baker Eddy, writer and spiritual leader
I'm learning to love all mankind these days. I'm feeling a connection with everyone I meet on a daily basis. I feel this is such a blessing. Having love for everyone never used to be my priority but it certainly is now.
I'd have to say that the turning point for me was when I hit an emotional bottom and a group of people rallied around me to help me face a difficult challenge. The showed me what unconditional love can do for a person who is feeling unworthy. I will always remember this display of love and concern.
I wouldn't be the person I am today if they hadn't shown me what love is really all about. It wasn't about what I could do for them; it was about what they wanted to do for me. Today I don't have to ask God for love; I'm surrounded by it. Today I will choose to include all mankind in the love that I give.
