"Eternity is not something that begins after you are dead. It is going on all the time." - Charlotte Perkins Gilman, feminist theorist, writer, and lecturer
Well, here's a new perspective for me. I've never thought about eternity going on all the time, but I guess it does. It's always here. Hmmmm.
I'm not sure I've ever thought much about eternity. When I've heard the word used, I've always thought about people who have died and how they are spending "eternity" somewhere. But, if that's true, then those who have passed before me are right now in "eternity" and I'm right here right now. I guess this means "eternity" has to be right now too.
So, the question for me becomes, what am I going to do with my eternity?
I'm going to choose to live out every moment of my eternity with enthusiasm, compassion, and love. That's how I can live out my eternity. This is amazing. I love being open and willing enough to change my ideas if new ones are presented to me now. Today, and every day, may I remember that if I'm living in the present then I'm living in my eternity. I like that!
Blessings everyone!
