"Labels are for filing. Labels are for clothing. Labels are not for people." - Martina Navratilova, tennis champion
I've learned, sometimes the hard way, that generalizations don't do me much good. Generalizations lead me to have expectations of people. And those expectations lead to disappointments. When I don't "label" others, I'm able to feel more joy and stop "waiting" for things to happen in a particular way.
We all have our ways of doing things and we all have individual personalities. I don't need to label the people in my life anymore. I'm learning to accept everyone just the way they are. In fact, I'm learning to accept myself just the way I am too. When I remove judgment from my mind, I get to appreciate every experience in my life even more.
Today I will stop judging others. I will not label people. Today I simply choose to "be" with those I meet.
