Time For Comfort

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand, and for a talk beside the fire: It is the time for home." - Edith Sitwell, poet and critic

I live in Florida now so winter isn't quite the same as it was when I lived in New York. The weather doesn't change much, the leaves don't change color, and the sun is very bright most days. But I can still remember those winters up north when it was time to get out the warm clothes and prepare for many gray days ahead. Surprisingly enough, sometimes I miss that.

Whether I'm in Florida or up north, the first day of the winter season still means Christmas is fast approaching and most people are very busy getting ready for the upcoming holidays. That's when the touch of a friendly hand or a good long talk can go a long way. I believe we all need that from time to time, no matter what time of year it is.

Today I will reach out whenever possible. I am grateful for the opportunities that are on their way to me right now. Blessings to all!
