Two Lives?

"The life you have led doesn't need to be the only life you have." - Anna Quindlen, author and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist

I never read ahead when I'm working on this blog. I have a daily calendar of quotes and there are times when I am amazed at how all of the pieces of the puzzle come together so perfectly.

Yesterday's quote was about participating in life and not just sitting on the sidelines and observing rather than living. In yesterday's blog, I wrote that I felt as if I've been living two different lives. And then, when I turn the page of my calendar for today's entry, here is a quote to remind me that I don't need to lead only one life! Coincidence? I think not.

I've made some mistakes in my life - some BIG mistakes! At least I thought they were mistakes. Now, I believe the choices I made needed to be made in order for me to learn the lessons I needed to learn. These lessons have helped my spirituality soar! I firmly believe that God has carried me through each of these lessons and the path I am on brings me closer to Him every day.

So, let me say for the record that this life I'm leading now, which is going in a completely different direction than the life I was leading a decade ago, is very exciting and I wouldn't trade it for anything. May I say thank you to all of my friends who help me every day, who love me when I'm struggling, and who accept me just as I am. I couldn't do this without you!

And, if you think the life you've led is the only one you have, please think again. If I can find a new life, so can you!
