"If you educate a man you educate a person, but if you educate a woman you educate a family." - Ruby Manikan, Native American leader and activist
I am a firm believer in "oneness". I don't think about being divided from fellow human beings, whether it is young from old or men from women. I like to think about everyone being connected so that we can learn from each other. That's what works for me.
With that introduction, I would like to say that this quote makes me think about leading by example and sharing my experience with others. If I learn something new, if I am educated in some way, there is a strong desire within me to pass on what I learn to others. I do my best to share what I learn with close friends and family members too. I believe this could be considered educating my "family". I am blessed with friends and family who believe in educating each other.
Today I choose to pass on what I know to anyone who needs help. Today I also choose to learn from anyone willing to help me. We are all connected and therefore we can help each other in many ways. I am grateful.
