"I never realized until lately that women were supposed to be the inferior sex." - Katharine Hepburn, Academy Award-winning actor
I can't help but smile at this one. Ms Hepburn is always going to be one of my favorites. I don't think I've ever seen her in a movie I didn't like. She made me believe in her character every time. I can almost hear her saying this statement in her unique and elegant voice.
As for being inferior, that is a description of myself that I've struggled with for a long time. I tend to think of myself as the worst of any group that I am in. I know that I'm an intelligent woman but for some reason I fall back to feeling inferior more often than I would care to admit.
My days are now filled with little reminders that I am not inferior, that I have something good to offer the world, and that I am worthy of the good things that come my way. I believe that no one is inferior to anyone else. I choose to treat everyone equally and fairly. I choose to accept people just as they are and I do my best not to judge anyone too harshly.
Today my thoughts will center on the positives I bring to this world and I will welcome the positives that others bring to me as well. Life is good.
