"I can see, and that is why I can be so happy, in what you call the dark, but which to me is golden. I can see a God-made world, not a man-made world." - Helen Keller, activist for the deaf and blind and winner of the 1964 Presidential Medal of Honor
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all could see a God-made and golden world? My views of the world change all the time. There are days when I can see only beauty in everything and everyone. Then there are days that I can only see what is wrong with the world. Most of the time, my view of the world is contingent upon how peaceful I am feeling within. It's always an inside job for me.
Helen Keller is an amazing example to me. Nothing has to hold me back from achieving my goal of helping others. This quote reminds me that I too can see and be happy most when I am looking at the world God has made and the people in God's world who have a universal spirit within them too. When I look for that spirit within the people I meet each day, I am happy.
Today I will see the good in everyone I meet, I will see clearly, and I will be happy. Thank You God!
