Keeping Up With Keeping Up

I remember this quote from awhile back and it still puts a smile on my face. I am glad I don't feel the urge to keep up with anybody these days. Today I just want to do my best.

It's funny how my perception has changed about so many things as the years have gone by. Everything I thought I knew has changed considerably. The opinions I had that were so strong and set in stone no longer are that way. I've become more open to new ideas. I've come to recognize that I don't know everything and even when I know a lot about a particular subject, I still may not have all of the facts.

So, I will remain focused on me - doing my absolute best to do the next right thing as the days and weeks go by. I will listen to others to learn from them and grow in knowledge. I will not have to worry about the Joneses or anyone else for that matter. When I take care of my own life and my behavior, all is well. I am so grateful to know this as my truth.
