No Distortions In Humor

"Humor distorts nothing, and only false gods are laughed off their pedestals." - Agnes Repplier, essayist

Humor has saved me on more than one occasion. I love to laugh and I also love to make others laugh with me. I know that my sense of humor is one of my assets and I love to hang out with people who have a good sense of humor too.

I've learned that I can sometimes be too sarcastic however, in my attempts to be funny and that is something I don't care for anymore. I try hard not to hurt any one's feelings when joking around in a group of people but sometimes that sarcasm gets the best of me.

This quote somehow reminded me to stick with humor but not sarcasm. This is one of the benefits of writing this blog. I don't always know where I'm going to go as I write my entries, but I've learned to go where I'm led, because it usually means there is something I need to take a look at within me.

I don't believe in or worship false gods so I don't know anything about their pedestals. But I do know that I love to laugh and I'm attracted to people who have a good sense of humor without needing to be mean in their delivery. I pray that we can all smile together today, sharing humor along the way, and leaving the sarcasm behind.
