Spending Life Like A Coin

Life is so precious to me these days but I didn't always appreciate it as much as I do now. In my younger days I must admit that I lived life the way I wanted to but I was extremely careless with my "spending". Fortunately, I've learned how to spend with more care these days.

Life hasn't turned out the way I thought it would when I was growing up. I'm glad about that. If life had turned out the way I thought it should, I wouldn't have received all of the gifts and lessons that were mine to receive. I'm filled with a peace and serenity now that wouldn't have come without the tough challenges along the way.

Our journeys are filled with ups and downs. I've come to realize that I never know when the blessings are going to be showered upon me. They are in every experience though. I just need to be attentive and just be in the moment. I'm so glad I've learned a new way of spending my life (like a coin)!
