The Road

"The end is nothing; the road is all." - Willa Cather, writer

I've learned this idea from some very close friends of mine. They told me the joy is in the journey. When I first heard this idea, I was very disappointed. Of course, I was extremely disenchanted with my own life and I chose to sit in the negativity rather than making better choices for myself. Fortunately, I changed the way I made choices and life got very different for me.

The road has been a winding one in my case but I'm very happy where I'm at today. I've come to believe that there are many surprises to experience and I'm constantly meeting new friends along the way. We help each other, we encourage each other, we share with each other. That's how I learn the most - by listening to the experiences of my friends. They share with me how they handled certain circumstances in their lives and I follow their suggestions. It's a beautiful way to live.

So, I will continue on my way, enjoying the road as it comes. May we all meet some day as our roads cross each other's paths. Namaste.
