A Balanced Life

"You need not feel guilty about not being able to keep your life perfectly balanced. Juggling everything is too difficult. All you really need to do is catch it before it hits the floor." - Carol Bartz, business leader

We are human; we are not perfect; we are never going to be perfect. I spent years attempting to juggle everything in my life in a perfect way all of the time. I was never successful in my attempts but I continued to try anyway. It was emotionally draining to do so much juggling and I came to a breaking point. Something had to give.

I have learned to let go of the need to control EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in my life. I can only control me. I do my best to be a responsible member of society today. I take care of my obligations to the best of my ability. I tend to overbook myself much of the time but I am learning to curb that behavior. I still juggle but I have been able to release the guilt of not having my life in perfect balance every day. It took time and practice and listening to others share how they released their guilt. Then I took what I learned from others and implemented it in my life. So far, I'm pleased with the results. And, I am extremely grateful to those who helped me through this learning process.

Today I will not feel guilty. I will catch anything that might be ready to "hit the floor". Today I will enjoy life and release the need to control. I am grateful.
