"I prefer the absurdity of writing poems to the absurdity of not writing poems." - Wislawa Szymborska, essayist, translator, and Nobel Prize-winning poet
Not writing is no longer an option for me. I understand this quote more so now but there was a time in the past when it wouldn't have made any sense to me at all. I'm a writer now, so I get it. :)
I believe we are all very creative in our own ways. No matter what the talent is, it can't be healthy to suppress that talent and not express ourselves as creatively as possible. We really have nothing to lose but we have so much to gain in the creative process.
I've learned a valuable lesson as I've been writing more and more. I've come to learn about who I am and what I like. I've been able to let go of other people's opinions of my writing and simply write the best entries I can create. This blog and my articles on http://hubpages.com/ are simply a reflection of my life experiences, in writing. I know my story best of all and so I've chosen to write about my personal lessons to date. As I continue to grow spiritually, my experiences will enrich my life and I will learn even more. It's a great way to live.
Today I will write and enjoy the process. I'm grateful to be able to write - thank you God for this opportunity. I am grateful.
