Effort Is A Must

Relationships are about people and people have feelings. Whether we are talking about friendships or intimate relationships, the fact remains that people are involved and that means we need to make an effort toward making the relationship work.

I noticed that the quote refers to "a lot of work" but it doesn't say to put the same amount of effort into the relationship as the amount going into the career. I believe it's important to let the people in my life know just how important they are to me. If I am only focused on my career, that doesn't leave much time for being with the people I care about the most.

Today I will pay attention to my friends and family. Today I will give my best effort to all of my relationships. I am grateful.
