Money & Power Or Peace & Serenity???

Is it more important to have a title or is it more important to have money and power? In my case, none of those are as important as having the peace and serenity that comes from being comfortable with who and what I am.

I thought that money and power would bring me happiness. When I found myself struggling to achieve my goals, I began to re-evaluate my position and I found that I was not as interested in money and power as I thought I was. Having money is nice, don't get me wrong. If I had more of it I'm sure I could find a way to spend it. But money, power, and titles are not going to get me what I long for today. These days I long to be a dependable friend, a trusted co-worker, and a loving mom. These "titles" are what matter most to me.

Today I will choose to be content with what I have and who I am. Today I will be the best "Kathleen" I can be. It is the best I have to offer.
